Achieve Your Goals This Year with These Proven Tips!

Setting goals is essential, but staying on track is where the real magic happens. Here are three key tips to help you achieve your goals this year, along with a bonus tip for that extra boost!

1. Break Down Your Goals

Have you set your goals for the year? If not, check out my previous video and download my worksheet, Year in Review, Plans for the New Year, and start working on your goals. It’s crucial to write them down.

Already have your goals? Great! The first step is to break them down into smaller steps and milestones. Use the Individual Goal Planning Worksheet to map out the steps to achieve your goal. Think of it like climbing a mountain; the journey begins with the first step.

2. Create a Routine

Creating a routine is crucial for achieving your goals. Disrupt your normal habits and do something every day towards your goal. Choose one important goal and focus on it. For example, start your day by writing down the action you will take towards your goal. Over time, this will become a habit, and you’ll automatically think about what you need to do each day to reach your goal.

3. Reflect and Adjust

Reflecting on your progress is key. What are you doing that’s working? What’s not working? Journaling can help you become more mindful of your goals and yourself. Use apps that issue reminders to reflect on your day. The SMART acronym (Specific, Measurable, Attainable, Realistic, Timed) is an excellent recipe for goal setting.

Bonus Tip: Share Your Goal

Share your goal with a friend and have them do the same. Set regular times to discuss each other’s progress and coach each other. This can be a close friend, spouse, or someone you trust. Empowering each other mutually can be very powerful.
